Ware - Beloved wife, mother, friend and community member, Cynthia J. Baird completed her extraordinary life on January 15 with her husband and family by her side.

Born in North Adams to parents Fred and Jane Crosier, she is survived by her husband of 53 years, James F. Baird, her son James and his wife Michelle, her daughter Heather and her husband Sean, her three grandsons Killian, Tristan and Cameron, her foster daughter Cathy and her younger sister and only sibling Susan Crosier Jones.

At an early age Cindy showed exceptional musical talent and was selected to perform in one of the first Jimmy Fund Fundraisers.  She was educated at Green Mountain Jr. College, the University of Puget Sound Tacoma, Washington and received her Master’s Degree from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst.

Cindy had several careers as teacher, librarian, church organist and choir director, bell choir director, and shared her talents with many schools, libraries and churches in central Mass.  As a 4-H leader she shared her abilities with many youth and teen 4-Hers over the years. Most recently she had been involved with the Worcester County 4-H Fair and in particular its relocation to Felton Field in Barre, Mass.  Cindy had hoped to be present for the 2018 Fair.
