Spencer - Katherine “Katie” Grace Laprise was called home to Heaven on Wednesday night after honoring us with her presence for 6 short years.

Katie brought love and a smile to all those that met her.  Although she was the child, she led us all by example and showed us how to be courageous and to love life even when it was hard.  She had joy in the simple things and a single minded focus on doing what made her happy.  Despite physical limitations, Katie knew no boundaries and her spirit of adventure, unbridled excitement, sense of humor and strength is an example to us all.

She is survived by Craig and Karen Laprise, who are honored to have been chosen to be her loving parents, Benjamin Laprise, her brother and best friend and her grandparents, Carol Cook of Dandridge, TN and Rolly and Bonnie Laprise of Haines City, FL.

A Funeral Mass for Katie will be held on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at 10:00 AM in the Emmanuel Orthodox Church, 25 Winthrop Terrace in Warren and everyone is asked to go directly to the church. Calling hours will be held on Monday, January 9, 2017 from 5 to 7 PM in the Varnum Funeral Home, Inc., 43 East Main St., West Brookfield.  Flowers may be sent or memorial donations in Katie’s memory may be made to the Emmanuel Orthodox Church, 25 Winthrop Terrace, Warren, MA 01083.
