Kenneth J. Hayes, 81

East Brookfield - Kenneth J. Hayes, 81, of Lashaway Drive, died on Friday, April 7, 2017 at Vibra Hospital in Leicester.

Ken leaves his loving wife of 61 years, Juanita (Weare) Hayes; three sons, Brian Hayes and his companion Tara of North Brookfield, Scott Hayes and his wife Debra of East Brookfield, and Michael Hayes of East Brookfield; his step-son, Harrold Eldridge and his wife Jane of Belchertown; twin sisters, Jacqueline Willis of West Newburyport, and Joyce St. Germain of Sutton; six grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.  He was born in Ware, son of John and Mabel (Mahar) Hayes.

Kenneth was a Construction Worker at R.H. White Construction for over twenty years, and enjoyed doing small engine repair as a hobby.

He was a member of Local 4 Operating Engineers of Boston, a former Member of East Brookfield Democratic Committee, and a 30 year member of the East Brookfield Fire Department.

At his request, services will be held privately.   In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the East Brookfield Ambulance Fund, P.O. Box 356, East Brookfield, MA 01515.
