Madeline J. Kennedy, 99

Ware – Madeline J. (Mikuszewski) Kennedy, 99, formerly of Ware and West Brookfield, died peacefully on Sunday, May 29, 2016 at the St. Francis Country House in Darby, PA.

She leaves one son, Donald W. Kennedy, Jr. and his wife Peggy of Drexel Hill, PA; two grandsons, Andrew Kennedy and his wife Marisa and John Kennedy; two great-grandchildren, Rylan and Keira and several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her husband of 51 years, Donald W. Kennedy, Sr. in 1995, and six siblings, Stanley Mikus, her twin brother, Stephen Mikus, Mary Zajochowski, Josehine Deslauriers, Ann Goodreau and Stella Tatreault.  She was born and grew up in Ware, daughter of the late Joseph and Katherine (Fijal) Mikuszewski and lived in Drexel Hill, PA, West Brookfield and Ware again before moving back to Pennsylvania several years ago.  She was a graduate of the Ware High School.

Madeline was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt.

She was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Ware and attended church at the Sacred Heart Church when she lived in West Brookfield. 

Funeral Services for Madeline will be held privately.  There are no calling hours.  Burial will be in the Sacred Heart of Jesus Cemetery in West Brookfield.  Varnum Funeral Home, Inc., 43 East Main St., West Brookfield, MA is assisting her family with arrangements.
