Ware – Army Private First Class Brian P. Odiorne, 21, died February 20, 2017 in Al Anbar Province, Iraq while supporting Operation Inherent Resolve. 

 

Pfc. Odiorne was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 82nd Field Artillery Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division in Fort Hood, Texas.

 

He leaves his father, Duane E. Odiorne of Palmer; his mother, Sharon Odiorne and her fiancé Joshua Davis of Belchertown; two half-brothers, Kevin North and his wife Laura of Palmer and their children, Taelor Christine, Ashley and Lilly Marie and Kyle North of Belchertown;  a step-sister, Alexis Davis of Kentucky; his paternal grandmother, Jeannie Odiorne of Ware; his maternal grandparents, Loretta Lund and David Staples of Belchertown; his maternal great-grandmother, Patricia Carter of Greenfield; uncles and aunts, Don and Mary Odiorne, Mike and Donna Staples, Theresa Moylan and Michelle Tellert; cousins, Becky, George, Erin, Joseph, Robert and Sara and extended family and friends.  Brian was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Brian L. Odiorne and his maternal grandfather, Patrick Lund.  He was born in Ware, and graduated from Pathfinder Regional Vocational Technical High School in Palmer.

 

Brian loved superhero’s when he was a kid and could often be seen in his Clark Kent or Superman outfits that Grammy helped make for him along with a cape for herself.  He loved spending time with his Pappy, running the backhoe and tractors with him, and played on the baseball, football and wrestling teams in high school.  He was an avid gamer who loved PlayStation.  Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, making them feel loved and always leaving you with a smile and love in your heart.

 

There will be a Liturgy of Christian Burial for Brian in All Saints Church in Ware on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at 10:00 AM and everyone is asked to go directly to the church.  Calling hours will be held on Friday, March 3, 2017 from 3 to 7 PM at Charbonneau Funeral Home, 30 Pleasant St. in Ware.  Burial will be in New St. Williams Cemetery with full Military Honors.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the All Saints Church, 17 North St., Ware, MA 01082 or to the Pathfinder Booster Club, Post Office Box 102, Three Rivers, Massachusetts 01080.
