Ware - Barbara J. (Pierce) Gagnon, 64, of Monson Turnpike Road, died on Thursday evening, June 29, 2017 at home, following several months of declining health. 


She leaves two daughters, Tina M. Dineen and her husband Kevin with whom she lived, and Angel Bessette of Ware; two sons, Anthony Paulton, Jr.and his wife Carmen, and Arthur Bessette and his wife Mary, both of Ware; two brothers, Donald Pierce and his wife Pamela, and Raymond Pierce, Jr, both of Palmer.; five sisters, Debra Gouvin and her husband Harold of Indian Orchard,  Donna Phillips of Ware, Joanne Dilley of Palmer, Charlene Chartier and her husband David of Ware, and Bettyann Dodge and her husband Jeff, also of Ware; seven grandsons, and one grandaughter, and many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her husband David B. Gagnon in 2006.  Barbara was born in Palmer, daughter of  the late Raymond A. and Jeannine I. (Houle) Pierce and was a life-long resident of Ware.


Barbara worked as a homemaker in her own home, and was devouted to the care of her family.  She was a remarkable woman who showed such a strong love of her children, grandchildren, and her large extended family.  She leaves lasting memories for all of them to hold closely.  


A Funeral Service for Barbara will be held on Thursday, July 13, 2017, at 11:00AM in the Charbonneau Funeral Home, 30 Pleasant St., Ware.  A calling hour will be held,  from 10 to 11AM in the funeral home prior to the service.  Burial will be New Saint William Cemetery following the service.    In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the D’Amour Center for Cancer Care, 3350 Main St., Springfield, MA 01107.
