Carolyn A. Cohen

North Brookfield - Carolyn A. Cohen, 72, of North Brookfield died on Friday, June 8, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She leaves her long time companion, Donald Coker of North Brookfield, two sons; Philip J. Murphy, III of Wellesley, and Sean T. Murphy of Palm Harbor, FL; her brother, Paul T. Kruckas and his wife Denise of North Brookfield, and her aunt, Frances Stelmokas.  She was born in Ware, daughter of the late John F. and Helen A. (Stelmokas) Kruckas.

Carolyn was a Registered Nurse at Brigham & Women's Hospital for 27 years, before retiring in 2009.  She was a member of the Massachusetts Nurses Association and a member of  St. Joseph's Parish.

She was a loving and devoted mother and friend to many.  She enjoyed spending time at the ocean and working in her flower gardens.

A Funeral Mass for Carolyn will be held on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at 10:00AM in St. Joseph's Church in North Brookfield, everyone is asked to go directly to the church.  There are no calling hours.  Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute to support cancer research and patient care at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284 or via www.dana-farber.org/gift.  Varnum Funeral Home, Inc., 43 East Main St., West Brookfield is assisting her family with arrangements.
