Elwood R. "Mike" Reynolds

Elwood Roger “Mike” Reynolds of Warren, age 91 passed away peacefully surrounded by family on June 29, 2019 at Wing Memorial Hospital.

Born December 3rd, 1927.  Mike enjoyed snowmobiling, playing cards, going out for breakfast, having coffee at the Warren Spa and giving people a hard time whether he knew them or not.  He had an on going rivalry with his wife regarding the Yankees vs. Red Sox teams.  His favorite saying was “Got a Job?” and enjoyed his involvement of playing practical jokes on “Billy’s Citgo Gas Station” in Warren among other friends over the years.

He was born in Ludlow, MA  the son of the late Charles H. and Estella “Baker” Reynolds and was a lifelong resident of Warren.  Mike Reynolds is the last of eight children. He worked at many places, Rogers Plastic, Forrest Park Dairy, Elm View Farm, along with taking care of the milk orders for the Warren Spa.  At the age of 70, Mike finally retired from Quaboag Regional School District as a night custodian.

Mike was preceded in death by his loving wife of 57 years, Beverly “Jean” Smith.  He leaves three daughters, Enola Reynolds of Warren, Sheila Reynolds of Ware and Sheena Santolini of Ludlow, MA; three sons, Robert “Bobby” Reynolds and wife Deborah of Rapid City, SD, Michael Reynolds and wife Barbara of Palmer, and Charles “Skip” Reynolds of Palmer, MA; four grandchildren, Justin and wife Mandie Reynolds, Chelsea, Alisha and Stacy Reynolds. He leaves two great- grandchildren Noah and Ellie Reynolds along with many nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed!

Family and friends are invited to attend a Graveside Service will be held on Friday, August 9 at 1:00 p.m. in Pine Grove Cemetery in Warren. There are no calling hours.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Warren Senior Center, P.O. Box 428, West Warren, MA  01092.   Varnum Funeral Home, Inc., 43 East Main St., West Brookfield is assisting the family with arrangements.
