Estelle J. (King) Comeau

West Brookfield - Estelle J.  (King) Comeau, 83, of West Brookfield died on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at Quaboag Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center, surrounded by her loving family.

She leaves two sons, Stephen Comeau and his wife Audrey of Sault Ste. Marie, Canada and Michael Comeau and his wife Shelley of Charlton; two daughters, Cheryl Roberts and her husband Rick of West Brookfield and Laurie Korzec and her husband Bob of West Brookfield; five grandchildren, Richard Kimball, Jamie Cieslak, Emily Comeau, Allison Korzec and Jessica Korzec; four great-grandchildren, Lauren Kimball, Thomas Kimball, Cadence Cieslak, and Reagan Cieslak and several nieces and nephews. She also leaves her sister-in-law, Joyce Dupuis of Florida. She was predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Robert E. “Bob” Comeau in 2011, her sister, Marguerite Moulton, and her brother, William King. She was born in Hanover, daughter of the late William and Marguerite (Fleurent) King, and lived in West Brookfield for 42 years prior to moving to Brookfield 16 years ago.  She and Bob also had a home in Florida, where they enjoyed spending the winters.                                                      

Estelle was the manager of the West Brookfield office of Moulton Insurance Company for 30 years, before retiring in 1997.

Estelle loved to play golf, cards and bingo – all of which she was a fierce competitor.  She was a member of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church in West Brookfield. 

A Funeral Mass for Estelle will be held on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at 11:00 AM in Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church in West Brookfield.  A calling hour will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 AM prior to the Mass in the Varnum Funeral Home, Inc., 43 East Main St., West Brookfield.  Burial will be in  New St. William Cemetery in Ware following mass.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Western-MA, 1325 Springfield St., Suite 12, Feeding Hills, MA 01030.
