Dear Cheryl: My thoughts and prayers are with you at this sad time. I know Floyd is with his Lord. I first met Floyd in 1967 and retired from the Division in 2002. I have many good memories of him. While I worked in Fisheries, I spent many hours working on maps, charts, and presentations in his office at his draft table . He was a great mentor and always ready to help or answer a question I might have. I remember him as a dedicated conservationist who always conducted himself in a courteous and friendly professional manner. He left an impressive legacy of protected wildlife lands.

Cheryl: In my early years with MDFW, I remember Floyd so well! People like Floyd were my real mentors at the agency. I don't even know if I'd have survived in the agency if it hadn't been for Floyd's good counsel. His wonderful sense of humor was a wonderful thing! Unquestionably, Floyd set the foundation for the Division's historic wildlife land acquisition program over the last 40 years. Know that Floyd--and you, Cheryl-- are in my mind and thoughts at this sad time. Brad

Just drove by your old home in Grafton the other day and was thinking of you and Floyd. I am so sorry to hear this sad news. Even though Dick isn't around he would want to say that Floyd was a great guy and did good things for F&W.
