Gloria R. (Mongeau) Desforges

Ware - Gloria R. Desforges, 92, of Ware died on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at Quaboag Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center in West Brookfield.

She leaves her husband of over 70 years, Robert A. Desforges; her daughter, Beverly Desforges of Southbridge; her sister-in-law, Jean Mongeau; a brother-in-law, Alfred Desforges and companion Ruth Kinell, as well as several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her brothers, Clarence, Lionel, and Raymond Mongeau, as well as her sisters, Lorraine Wojtowicz, and Dorothy Robidoux, She was born in Ware, daughter of the late Wilfred L. and Marion (Caron) Mongeau Gervais, and was a life-long resident of Ware.

Gloria was an employee of the former Ludlow Paper and Kanzaki Specialty Papers for 10 years, before retiring in 1987.  She enjoyed spending time at their place in Sarasota, Florida during the winters.  She was an avid reader, crocheter, and Red Sox fan. She loved spending time with her family. 

She was a graduate of the Mount Carmel School, and was a long time member of Mount Carmel Church and All Saints Parish.

A Liturgy of Christian Burial, will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at 11:00AM in All Saints Church, North St., in Ware.  A calling hour will be held prior to the mass, from 9:30 to 10:30AM in the Charbonneau Funeral Home, 30 Pleasant St., in Ware.  Burial will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery following mass.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimers Assoc. of MA/NH, 300 Waverly Oaks Rd., Waltham, MA 02452.
