Joseph C. Benoit

North Brookfield - Joseph C. Benoit, 89, formerly of North Main Street, died Friday, March 30, 2018.

He was the son of the late Theodore L. and Aimee (Harvender) Benoit. He leaves his son, Jonathan Benoit of Fair Lawn, NJ; his daughter, Catherine and her husband Joseph Wolons of Middletown, NY; a sister Dorothy LaFlam of North Brookfield, MA; three grandchildren, Aimee Swan, Allison Wolons and Laura Wolons-Lowder; and three great grandchildren, Daniel, Emilyn and Liam. He was predeceased by three brothers, Ernest, Theodore and Norman and four sisters Myrabelle Goulette, Kathryn Barre, Eleanor Fortin and Corina Biando.

Mr. Benoit owned and operated Benoit’s Garage in North Brookfield before retiring in 1977.  

He was a United States Army Veteran of the Korean War.

He was a member of St. Joseph’s Church and the Sawyer-Mathieu-Kearns American Legion Post 41 in North Brookfield.

A Funeral Services for Joseph will be held Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at 10:00 AM at the Varnum Funeral Home, Inc., 43 East Main St. in West Brookfield. There are no calling hours. In lieu for flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph’s Parish, 28 Mt. Pleasant St., North Brookfield, MA 01535.
