Kathleen D. McKay

West Brookfield - Kathleen D. McKay, 71, of West Brookfield died on Monday, October 15, 2018 at her home surrounded by her family.

Together for 33 years, and married for the last 14 years, she leaves her wife, Joan A. Bodessa of West Brookfield; her brother, Edward T. McKay of Feeding Hills; her sister, Laurie McKay of Worcester, two nephews, David and Kevin McKay, and two nieces, Kim Lanier and Leyna Fernandes.  She was born in Springfield, daughter of the late Arthur and Rita (Curran) McKay.  She lived in Vermont and Palmer, prior to moving to West Brookfield 28 years ago. 

Kathleen was a self-taught copyright artist, specializing in women and using recycled materials in her art work.  She loved animals and pets, always had a smile, with a great sense of humor. 

A Celebration of Life for Kathleen will be held on Sunday, October 28, 2018 from 1 to 4PM at 39 Doris Lane, Agawam.  Family and friends are invited to surround Dess, Teddy, Laurie and each other in remembrance of Kathy.  Varnum Funeral Home, Inc., 43 East Main St., in West Brookfield is assisting her family with arrangements
