He leaves his wife of 50 years, Carole E. King; two sons, Matthew C.D. King and his companion Diane Kenyon of Ware, and Todd M. King and his wife Jennifer of Wilbraham; his daughter, Colleen K. King and his partner Robert Moulton, and Paul F. Michael received a Bachelors Degree from Boston University, and a Masters Degree in Library Science from the University of Massachusetts.  He taught high school history and managed the audio-visual department at Quaboag Regional High School for 37 years before retiring in 2003.  He coached the golf team at Quaboag High School and was a football coach at Ware High School for over 10 years.  He was a long-time member of All Saint's Parish in Ware, the Massachusetts Teachers Association, and the Dunroamin Country Club in Gilbertville.
