Steve was and always will be a very special, warm and caring professional with whom I was privileged to be in the educational setting of Shepherd Hill. His immense impact on students and teachers as well was a special gift that he brought to us all. My prayers are with his beloved soul. Diane Salek (math department)

Stephen - you were a close member of our family, and Cindi, Emily, Sam and I will miss you tremendously. I considered you my best friend, as I am sure others did. I am so sorry you never got meet our new grandson, Liam, born just a few days before you left us. I will miss your "Hey, Bud" greeting as you slid into the seat at our Friendlys breakfasts. I guess we will never get to fine tune our retirement plans. Enloy your side of the Split Universe. You will be missed, and we are proud to have called you our friend... Take care, Bud.

I am so lucky to have had Stephen in my life for the past 15 years. He has been nothing short of an incredible supporter, friend, and mentor. I met him during my freshman year of high school and still kept in touch regularly to this day. I can't imagine life without him, but I'm thankful that a soul like his never dies.
I have a letter I would like to send to the family. If you are a member of Stephen's close relatives, please respond to this with a way I could give you this letter. Thank you.

Hi Meghan,
I'm Stephen's brother. Thank you so much for the kind words and memories of Stephen. He talked so much about the students that had touched his heart. He dedicated his life to students and the love of his job helping folks. If you have something you would like to share with his family, please contact me. Thank you
