Warren - Theo F. Mailman, 84, of Warren died on Monday, June 18, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family and friends.
He leaves his wife of 60 years, Lorraine (Mongeau) Mailman; four sons, Michael Mailman of Warren, Randal Mailman of Southbridge, Daniel Mailman and his wife Diana of Clovis, NM, and Ronald Mailman of Brookfield; his brother, Arnold Mailman of Lafayette, GA, and his sister Jean Kingston of Warren; 7 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his special friend since childhood, Donald Demers, and his extended family in Nova Scotia who he loved dearly. Theo was born in Troy, Maine, son of the late Hanley A. and Flora (Shields) Mailman. He lived in Pittsfield, Maine for 39 years, and Goodyear, Arizona for 6 years, prior to moving to Warren 27 years ago.
Theo graduated from Colby Trade High School in Waterville, ME and also earned an Associates Degree from Lamson Business College in Phoenix, AZ. He worked in production manufacturing at both the former Galileo Corp., and Danaher Tool Corp. before retiring in 2007. Later he worked as a special needs bus monitor for Lizak bus service in Warren.
Mr. Mailman was a member of the Adams-Cooney-Frew American Legion Post #244 in West Brookfield.
Theo’s family would like to thank Dr. Bou-Harb and the staff at Reliant Medical Group, the dedicated team of nurses from Overlook Hospice, and Kelly Moores for his care. Also a thank you to Pastor Nate Hayman, and the members of the Pilgrim Baptist Church for their prayers.
A Funeral Service with Military Honors for Theo will be held on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at 10AM in the Pilgrim Baptist Church, 33 West Brookfield Road, in North Brookfield. There are no calling hours and everyone is asked to go directly to the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Pilgrim Baptist Church or to Overlook Hospice, 88 Masonic Home Rd., Charlton, MA 01507.
