Alice C. Poleshuk, 89
Warren - Alice C. (Thompson) Poleshuk, 89, of Boston Post Rd., passed away Friday, December 11, 2015 in Baystate Mary Lane Hospital surrounded by her family.
She leaves one son, George J. Poleshuk, Sr. of West Brookfield, two daughters, Rosemary Holmes and her husband Albert of Stewartstown, PA and Jolene Poleshuk and her husband Lawrence Wemyss of Stafford, VA; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Her husband George S. Poleshuk died in 1987. She was born in Ludlow, daughter of the late Charles and Rose E. (McDonald) Thompson and grew up in Palmer and lived most of her life in Warren. She was a graduate of Palmer High School.
Mrs. Poleshuk worked as an assembler for 20 years for the former William E. Wright Co. in West Warren before retiring in 1988.
She was a member of St. Paul's Church in Warren and enjoyed gardening and wildflowers, as well as traveling and embroidery.
A Funeral Mass for Alice will be held, Thursday, December 17, 2015 at 10:00 AM in St. Paul's Church in Warren. Calling hours will be held Wednesday, December 16, 2015 from 5 to 7 PM in the Varnum Funeral Home, Inc., 43 East Main St., West Brookfield.
