Alvin L. "Skip" Brown, III, 56
East Brookfield - Alvin L. "Skip" Brown, III, 56, passed away unexpectedly on November 3, 2015.
He leaves his fiancé, Kristina Kyros of East Brookfield; his children, Jessica Forcier and her husband Gary of Southbridge, Ashley Istre and her husband Erik of East Brookfield and Jason Brown and his wife Ashley of Brookfield; six grandchildren, Jenna, Emma and Sara Forcier and Anna, Isabel and Alek Istre; his mother, Annette Brown of Brookfield; a brother, Jeffrey Brown and his wife Joyce of Shrewsbury; two sisters, Karen Hubert of Spencer and Barbara Palmer of Brookfield; nieces, Melissa and Christine Palmer and Kara Brown and his nephew Aidan Brown. He was born in Worcester son of the late Alvin L. Brown, Jr. and grew up in Brookfield and then lived 20 years in Spencer before moving to East Brookfield in 2000.
Mr. Brown recently retired from Verizon after more than 30 years of service to the company.
He was an active member of the Spencer Fish & Game Club who enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and wine making. He was a car enthusiast with a skill and uncanny ability to fix anything, especially if it had an engine. But most of all he was a devoted father and grandfather.
Graveside Services will be held privately in the Brookfield Cemetery. Calling hours for Skip will be held Sunday, November 8, 2015 from 2 to 6 PM in the Varnum Funeral Home, Inc., 43 East Main St., West Brookfield. His family asks that you please omit flowers.
