Athol/West Warren - Aniceta R. (Rubio) Hayden, 55, died Thursday, November 3, 2016 surrounded by her family.



She leaves her companion of 14 years, Joseph R. Perkins of West Warren; her siblings, Romeo Rubio, Nelito and his wife Maria Conception Rubio, Violeta R. Belza and her husband Juvy Belza and Elenita Rubio and her husband Benjamin Cabrido all in the Philippines, and nine nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by a brother, Nestor Rubio.  She was born and grew up in the Philippines daughter of the late Nicasio and Eleuteria (Arreglo) Rubio and moved to the United States in 1991 where she settled down in the town of Athol of which she thought there was no better place to live than Athol.



Aniceta worked for the Millipore Corporation in Jaffrey, NH and was a proud Filipino American.



She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Athol.  She loved growing flowers and vegetables in her garden and loved spending time hanging out with her friends.



A Funeral Mass for Aniceta will be held Monday, November 7, 2016 at 10:00 AM in St. Paul's Church in Warren.  Calling hours will be held Sunday, November 6, 2016 from 2 to 4 PM in the Varnum Funeral Home, Inc., 43 East Main St., West Brookfield.
