Ann M. Docwra, 85
Spencer - Ann M. (O'Brien) Docwra, 85, of Sampson St., died Wednesday, September 9, 2015 in UMASS Memorial Medical Center.
She leaves three sons, Harry J. Newell, III and his wife Linda, Michael Newell and Robert Docwra; two daughters, Patricia Johnson and her husband Kenneth and Kelly King; a step-daughter, Deborah Anderson and her husband Eric; 6 grandchildren, Allyson, Jillyan, Harry IV, Rachel, Casey and Lindsay and 3 great-grandchildren, Lexi, Kyle and Joshua. She was predeceased by her husband of 46 years, Rodney R. Docwra in 2010. She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late John and Rose (Casey) O'Brien and grew up in Cherry Valley and lived in East Brookfield and then in Sarasota, FL for 15 years before moving to Spencer in 2003.
Mrs. Docwra worked as a legal secretary/paralegal for the Law Office of Rubin & Rubin in Worcester and then for David Shapiro in Sarasota, FL before retiring in 2003.
She was a member of Mary Queen of the Rosary Church in Spencer and enjoyed painting.
A Funeral Service for Ann will be held Monday, September 21, 2015 at 10:00 AM in the Varnum Funeral Home, Inc., 43 East Main St., West Brookfield. A calling hour will be held prior to the service from 9 to 10:00 AM in the funeral home. Burial will be at Walnut Grove Cemetery in North Brookfield.
