West Brookfield – Annamay (Prizio) Zabek, 93, passed away after a brief illness at Brookhaven Assisted Care in West Brookfield, on Friday, April 25, 2025.
She is survived by her three children, Anthony Zabek and his wife Deborah of Waynesville, MO, Angela Terranova and her husband Christopher of Worcester, and Lisa Paquette and her husband Darren of West Brookfield; her sister Bernice Beauregard of West Brookfield, as well as seven grandchildren - Nicholas, Krystina, and Nathan Zabek, Justin and Evan Paquette, Taylor (Paquette) Kerkmez, and John Terranova, and 8 great grandchildren – Lucas and Zoe Zabek, Anna, Jack and Laine Paquette and Siahnna, and Julian and Kyla Kerkmez. She was predeceased by her husband, Police Chief John S. Zabek Jr., in 1997 and she was a life-long resident of West Brookfield.
Her family would like to say a special thank you to her long-time caregiver, Rebekah Perrin and the staff at Brookhaven Assisted Care.
Calling Hours for Annamay will be held on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00pm in the Varnum Funeral Home, 43 East Main St., in West Brookfield. Her Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, May 1st at 11am in Our Lady of Sacred Heart Church, 30 West Main St., in West Brookfield. Following cremation, the burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery in West Brookfield this summer.
