Obituary

Anne Adelaide (Perrin) Grehoski, 78, passed away peacefully on July 4th with her family by her side. Anne courageously faced a complex triple diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease, Lewy body dementia, and Parkinson’s disease, and fought with unrelenting determination until her last breath. She is survived by her daughters, Cheryl Erskine of New York, NY, Monica Grehoski and son-in-law Paul Carbone of Boston, MA, as well as her cherished grandchildren - or “darlings” - Lindsay Gibbons of Uxbridge, MA, Ryan Gibbons of Millbury, MA, Grace Gibbons of Baltimore, MD, Zibby Gibbons of South Boston, MA, Sophia Carbone of Quincy, MA, Ava Carbone of Pittsburgh, PA, and Jake Gibbons of Pittsburgh, PA. In addition, Anne leaves behind her siblings, John Perrin and sister-in-law Anne Marie Corrieri of Wilbraham, MA, Robert Perrin and sister-in-law Cynthia of Burlington, VT, and Demetria Peterson and brother-in-law Rodney of Monson, MA. Anne is also survived by beloved nieces and nephews, countless friends, and many former colleagues. Joyously, after a thirteen-year wait, Anne will be reunited with her husband and true love, William Grehoski, who predeceased her in 2013.

Born on October 4, 1947, Anne lived most of her life in Warren, MA. She was a graduate of Warren High School, and later earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Lesley College. In the early 1970s, Anne was hired as a dispatcher for Massachusetts Electric Company. She would go on to serve in various roles at Massachusetts Electric, New England Electric, and National Grid, before retiring as a senior labor relations representative. In her almost 40 years at the utility, Anne's profession and colleagues brought her immeasurable amounts of purpose and fun.

Anne was selfless and kind; to know her was to love her. She relished making guests feel at home, eagerly embracing new visitors and old friends alike. Anne also loved to bake - her apple pie and apricot muffins were epic. More than anything, Anne’s life was devoted to her family; she cherished her roles as wife, mother, grandmother (“gma”), daughter, and sister. Among many treasured memories, Anne instilled her deep love of Rhode Island beaches in her daughters and grandchildren, a legacy that lives in the salt air of Misquamicut and Quonnie.

Please join Anne’s family in celebrating her life on August 8th, 2026, at Varnum Funeral Home, 43 East Main Street, West Brookfield, MA, 01585. Calling hours are 2:30 pm - 4:30 pm with a reception for sharing and memories to follow from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm, The Barn at Wight Farm, 420 Main Street, Sturbridge, MA 01566.
