GILBERTVILLE - Anthony F. “Tony” Staiti, Sr., 84, passed away peacefully on April 1, 2026, at Jewish Healthcare Center in Worcester.

Anthony is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Patricia A. (Lazarick) Staiti. He leaves his two children: his daughter Christine Palmer and her husband Darren of Ware and his son Tony Staiti, Jr., and his wife Kathy of Gilbertville.

He is also survived by two brothers Gary Staiti and his wife Barbara of Ware, and George Staiti and his wife Anna of Ware and his sister-in-law Ann Robinson. Anthony leaves four treasured grandchildren, Curtis, Jacob and his wife Claire, Jillian, and Adam; as well as one great grandchild Landon, and another great grandchild on the way.

Anthony was born in 1941 to the late Frank and Antoinette (Poirier) Staiti, in Ware MA.

He proudly built and operated Dunroamin Country Club in Gilbertville for most of his life. The golf course brought him many life-long friends who will remember him as kind, generous and always happy. If someone needed help, he never said, “No.” Despite the long hours he spent working during golf season, he was able to provide his family with many great memories including spending time together on rainy day outings when the course was slow.

In his free time he enjoyed visits to casinos, watching old movies with family and taking long road trips.

Calling hours for Anthony will be held from 2 to 6 p.m., Sunday April 12, in the Charbonneau Funeral Home, 30 Pleasant Street, in Ware.

A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, April 13, in St. Aloysius Church, 52 Church Street, in Gilbertville. Friends are asked to gather directly at the church. Burial will follow at St. Aloysius Cemetery, 212 Upper Church St, Gilbertville. After the burial a Celebration of Life for Anthony will be held at Hardwick Crossing (The former Dunroamin Country Club), 262 Lower Road, Gilbertville.
