Antonios Tsantinis

September 8, 1953 — December 10, 2021

East Brookfield - Antonios "Tony" Tsantinis, 68, of East Brookfield died peacefully on Friday, December 10, 2021 with his children by his side.

He leaves his son Andrew and his wife Sherry of Wales; his daughter, Rona Tsantinis-Roy and her husband Josh of Sturbridge; his five grandchildren, Courtney, Antonia, Sofia, Bryson and Gavin; his brothers, Dimitrios and his wife Janet of Auburn and Gregorios and his wife Kathy of Worcester as well as his nieces, nephews and longtime companion, Angela DiUlio.  He was born in Greece, son of the late Theofanis and Xanthoula (Stratis) Tsantinis.

Coming to America in 1966 from Lia, Greece and eventually settling in East Brookfield in 1981.  Tony became the sole proprietor of Athens Pizza in Brimfield in 1994 and continued as such until his illness.  He was actively involved in giving back to the community. He truly enjoyed going to work every day as he felt if he didn't, people would go hungry without him.

He was a beloved father, grandfather, companion and friend. He was a true animal lover and spent his free time raising and caring for animals on his farm and tending to his garden and fields. Most of all he loved his grandchildren whom he often had by his side at the restaurant or at his farm teaching them about the trades. Tony will be sorely missed by all.

Calling hours will be held Thursday, December 16, 2021 from 4 to 6PM in the Varnum Funeral Home, Inc., 43 East Main Street in West Brookfield.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hitchock Academy, P.O. Box 155, Brimfield, MA 01010 or www.hitchcockacademy.org/contact-us
