Arlene M. Norman, 82
Warren - Arlene M. (Goldspring) Norman, 82, of Nelligan Terrace died Sunday, May 10, 2015 in Quaboag Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center.
She leaves three daughters, Anna Mae Hibbard and her husband Bradley of West Brookfield, Elaine Gittens and her husband Hector of Warren and Diana Lennon and her husband Terence of Ossining, NY; two sisters, Eunice LaPlante of Revere and Audrey Long of New Castle, PA; six grandchildren, Adam and Ryan Hibbard and Shawn Hibbard and his wife Elizabeth, Elizabeth Gittens and her husband Dave Sexton, Amanda Cooper and her husband Zachary and Erin Lennon; three great-grandchildren, William and Theodore Sexton and Hunter Hibbard and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Richard A. Norman and several siblings. She was born in Cambridge daughter of the late Edward and Audrey (O'Brien) Goldspring and grew up in Massachusetts and lived ten years in West Brookfield before moving to Warren in 1963.
Mrs. Norman worked for over 30 years for the Town of Warren working for the Police Department for 25 years and later as the Administrative Assistant to the Selectman before retiring.
She was a member of the Friends of the Warren Town Hall, the Trustees of Reservations of the Rock House Property, the Quaboag Sportsman's Club and the Warren Police Association.
A Graveside Service for Arlene will be held Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at 11:00 AM in Pine Grove Cemetery in Warren and all are welcome. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Friends of the Town Hall Fund, P.O. Box 585, Warren, MA 01083. Varnum Funeral Home, Inc., 43 East Main St., West Brookfield is assisting the family with arrangements.
