Arthur L. Morin

March 11, 1932 — August 5, 2018

Brookfield - Arthur L. "Artie" Morin, 86, of Rice Corner Road died peacefully on Sunday, August 5, 2018 at the CareOne Center of Millbury with his caring niece Darlene by his side.

He leaves his niece Darlene Gary and her husband Jan of Worcester, and several other nieces and nephews.  Arthur was predeceased by his wife, Rosabell M. (Bougor) Morin in 1998, his daughter, Diana Morin in 1980, his brother, William J. Morin in 2013, and his sister, Madeline Cote in 2018.  He was born in Ware, son of the late Arthur J. and Clara M. (Miller) Morin and was a life-long resident of Brookfield.

Arthur worked as a molding machine operator at Quaboag Rubber Company in North Brookfield for 47 years, before retiring in 1996.  He always liked to stay busy, and was well known around Brookfield.  He worked part-time as an attendant at the transfer station in town, and could often be seen talking with residents.  Artie enjoyed collecting hubcabs and doing small engine repairs.  He was a skilled "tinkerer," and could fix equipment or other items that needed repair, truly turning "one man's trash into another man's treasure."

Mr. Morin is a United States Army veteran of the Korean War.

Artie's family would like the thank the dedicated staff at CareOne for the care and comfort that they provided for him.

A Graveside Service with Military Honors for Artie will be held on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at 1:00PM in the Old Saint William Cemetery, on West St. in Ware.

Charbonneau Funeral Home, 30 Pleasant St. in Ware is assisting his family with arrangements.
