Beatrice S. Aube, 75
West Brookfield - Beatrice (Shea) Aube, 75, died Monday, June 9, 2014 at her home surrounded by her family.
She leaves a son, James Aube of West Brookfield; a daughter, Christine Santos and her husband Rick of West Brookfield; a brother, James Shea of Ware; a sister Elizabeth Danahey of Northampton; two grandchildren, Alycia Aube and Kyle Santos and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Richard F. "Dick" Aube and a daughter, Jill Aube. She was born and grew up in Ware, daughter of the late Edward and Stephanie (Jezyk) Shea before moving to West Brookfield 52 years ago.
Mrs. Aube worked for more than 25 years as a Registered Nurse at Harrington Memorial Hospital in Southbridge before retiring.
She was an avid reader and Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots fan who enjoyed gardening, flowers, painting, crossword puzzles and especially her camping trips to New Hampshire.
A Funeral Mass for Beatrice will be held Monday, June 16, 2014 at 10:00 AM in the Sacred Heart Church in Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Parish in West Brookfield and everyone is asked to go directly to the church. Calling hours will be held Sunday, June 15, 2014 from 4 to 6 PM in the Varnum Funeral Home, Inc., 43 East Main St., West Brookfield. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
