West Brookfield - Belinda R. (Rowlingson) Blake, 85, of West Brookfield, died on Sunday, June 2, 2024 at Rose Monahan Hospice Home in Worcester.
Belinda was born in London, England on Good Friday, April 7, 1939. World War II started in September of that year, and she still swears that the war was not her fault. She was born within the sound of the Bow Bells of St. Mary-le-Bow church, making her a proper cockney.
Belinda married this American bloke, named William Mathieson, and together they had Kerry, Darryl, and Shayne. Later they divorced, and lost their precious son, Shayne. She was predeceased by her parents, Thomas and Theresa Rowlingson, her brother, Thomas, and her sister, Barbara. Besides her children, Belinda also leaves her three grandsons, Aaron, Brady and Adam, as well as her sisters, Brenda and Sharron and her brother-in-law, Kevin, as well as many nieces and nephews.
At her request, funeral services for Belinda will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, and in honor of her love for animals and pets, memorial donations may be made to Second Chance Animal Shelter, P.O. Box 136, East Brookfield, MA 01515.
Varnum Funeral Home, Inc., 43 East Main St., in West Brookfield is assisting her family with arrangements.
