Betty worked as a Nurse's Aide at both Brookhaven Assisted Care and the former Quaboag on the Common for many years. She took charge as a Leader for both the Cub Scouts and the Girl Scouts, and she was referred to as "mom" by nearly everybody in town.
Betty was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, a kind and caring sister, and a loyal friend to many. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, watching Elvis and Hallmark movies, dancing, reading, playing cribbage, crocheting, and playing cards on Sundays as well as drag racing - where she met her husband Bonheur. She also enjoyed traveling to New Hampshire to visit her family.
She was a member of the Scouting Community and was an honorary member of the Lost Town Brewery mug club.
