Bruce F. Peck

September 11, 1941 — January 16, 2020

Ware - Bruce F. Peck, 78, passed away peacefully at home Thursday, January 16, 2020, surrounded by his family.  He leaves his wife Carol; daughters Tracy and Carolyn; grandchildren Felicia, Kyle, Jasmine, Allen, Sean, Eric, and his great-granddaughter Traelynn; his sister Priscila, brother David and brother Douglas and his wife Dianne.  He was born in Palmer on September 11, 1941, son of the late Lawrence P. and Rachel A. (Church) Peck.

Bruce was a hard-working, thoughtful, and full-hearted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Bruce went by many names, but his most popular being "Baka," given to him by his grandchildren, followed him throughout his life.  He was well known by many and loved by all. At age 17 he enlisted in the Army and honorably served his country for 11 months before returning home.  In 1979 Bruce met his loving wife Carol at Forbes Wrights in Monson where they both worked at the time.  Bruce quickly came to realize that Carol was the woman he wanted to spend the rest of his life with, and they spent the next 41 years together.

Bruce later changed his career to Quaboag Transfer in Monson.  Where he spent many years working as a freight operator.  He finally decided upon his final career change and became a delivery driver for NAPA Auto Parts in Ware, where he spent the remainder of his career working.  Bruce enjoyed all of the jobs he had, but he enjoyed NAPA the most and made a lot of close friends with the customers he encountered.  It can be said that any customer Bruce met, quickly took a liking to his hard-working personality, and reliable service to them.

Baka will be missed by all of his family but never forgotten.

At his request, there are no services scheduled.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association of Massachusetts / New Hampshire, 309 Waverly Oaks Road, Waltham, MA 02452.
