Ware, MA

Ware, MA- Camille I. Koss, 102, of Ware, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 1, 2026, at Cedarbrook Village surrounded by her loving family.

Camille was born on August 19, 1923, to Peter and Sophie (Witalisz) Imbier. She leaves her son Kevin (Lisa) Koss of Palmer, her daughter Nadine (Philip) Wojcik of West Brookfield, her grandchildren Daniel and Michael Koss, Jessica Deremian, Angela Burton, and Jonathan Wojcik. She was also blessed with eight great grandchildren. She also leaves many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 65 years, John S. Koss, in 2015. She was also predeceased by her brothers, Edward, Edmund, and Henry.

The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff and her caretakers at Cedarbrook Village for their compassionate care and comfort they provided her. Camille spent most of her working career at Ware Cooperative Bank. At the age of 24, she went to The School of Modern Photography in New York City. She and her brother Edmund were founding members of the Ware Camera Club. Later, she would always be taking pictures of all the neighborhood kids and all the functions happening in town.

Camille's greatest pleasure was her family, always putting them first. She loved her time at her lake house sitting on the patio for hours enjoying the activity on the lake. She was surely known for her chocolate chip cookies. She will be dearly missed but will always remain in our hearts.

Donations for Camille can be made to a charity of your choice. Services will be held privately at the Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery in Agawam.

Varnum Funeral Home is honored to serve the Koss family. An online tribute page for Camille can be found at varnumfuneralhome.com.
