Carol A. Parker, 68
North Brookfield - Carol A. (Greenough) Parker, 68, of Evergreen St., died Tuesday, January 20, 2015 in the Saint Francis Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center in Worcester after a battle with lung disease.
She leaves her husband of 43 years, Kenneth S. Parker, Sr.; a son, Kevin S. Parker and his wife Justyna of Brookfield; two step-sons, Kenneth S. Parker, Jr. and his wife Cindy of Spencer and Terry Parker; two step-daughters, Donna Parker and Sandra Parker; a sister, Wanda Guzik and her husband Fred of Bondsville; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren and a niece, Lisa Guzik and a nephew, Shawn Guzik. She was born in Burlington, VT daughter of the late Richard E. and Lucille (Allard) Greenough and grew up and lived in Ware before moving to North Brookfield 44 years ago. She graduated from Ware High School in 1966 and from Quinsigamond Community College in 1983 with an Associates Degree in Computer Science and Business Administration.
Mrs. Parker was a systems analyst trainer for 27 years in the IT Department at FLEXcon in Spencer before retiring in 2011.
She was a member of St. Joseph's Church in North Brookfield and the PRH Institute and enjoyed working with computers, teaching others and playing cribbage with her husband nearly every morning.
A Funeral Service for Carol will be held Friday, January 23, 2015 at 6 PM in the Varnum Funeral Home, Inc., 43 East Main St., West Brookfield. Calling hours will be held Friday prior to the service from 4:30 to 6 PM in the funeral home. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery in Spencer.
