West Brookfield – Carolyn N. (Bridges) Boucher, 81, of West Brookfield, and a former long-time resident of Warren, died on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield.
She leaves her son, Robert Boucher and his wife Lisa of Warren, and her daughter, Diana Perron and her husband, Jose Ramirez of Brookfield; three grandchildren, Melissa and Joshua Perron, and Brandon Boucher as well as two great-grandchildren, Blake MacPherson and Ellyott Echevarria. She also leaves her brother, Charles Bridges of Tennessee, and her special companion, her cat Queenie. She was predeceased by her husband Charles Boucher, and their son, Alfred Boucher. She was born in Ware, daughter of the late Alton and Geraldene (Herman) Bridges.
Carolyn worked in housekeeping at Quaboag Rehabilitation & Skilled Care Center for 42 years as a housekeeper and laundry supervisor. Even after retiring, she volunteered there to assist wherever she was needed and crocheted blankets and prayer shawls. She enjoyed walking along the common in West Brookfield, playing bingo at the Senior Center and at the nursing home, and staying active. She would go on frequent bus tours and adventures with Lizak Tours and especially liked going out to eat often with her life-long friends from high school. Above all, she loved her family and the time spent with her relatives.
She loved her faith and was a member of the Brookfield Congregational Church in Brookfield.
A Funeral Service for Carolyn will be held on Friday, January 23, 2026, at 11AM in the Varnum Funeral Home, 43 East Main Street in West Brookfield.
