Ware – Catherine J. (Kay) Midura Portier
Kay (a.k.a. the “Pajama Lady”) was last seen soaring through the sky away from Lifecare Center in Wilbraham, MA where she resided for nearly nine years, on a sleigh guided by numerous flocks of her favorite cardinals to celebrate her long-deserved freedom with her treasured husband of 65 years, Warren, who passed away in 2007.
What a holiday reunion that must have been – being welcomed by him and her 12 siblings, who predeceased her. She was the last of the large family of Charles and Agatha (Bernat) Midura. Kay was the adored mother of Jayne Nelson of Ware, the cherished grandmother of Brennan (Melissa) of WA State, and loving great-grandmother of Sterling Rose, Sawyer, and Sedona. Also left behind are numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
May her soul rest for eternity, leaving so many precious memories for her family and acquaintances – especially the staff in the “Woods” at Lifecare.
Services for Catherine will be held privately at a later date.
Charbonneau Funeral Home is honored to have served the Portier family.
