Obituary

  • Christina “Tina” Como, 82, of Warren passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, surrounded by family.

  • Born on October 25, she was a beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and “Gigi.” Tina will be remembered for her kind heart, generous spirit, strong work ethic, and unwavering devotion to her family. She lived a life filled with love, laughter, and adventure alongside her beloved husband, John. The love she shared, the memories she created, and the lasting impact she made on those around her will forever be a part of the family she cherished so deeply.

  • Tina leaves behind her husband John, of 62 years; and their four children John Como (Diana), Susan Como ( Ray Paolucci) of Warren, Paul Como (Katrina) of Wilmington, North Carolina and Joe Como (Wendy) of Warren. She also leaves behind her two surviving brothers, Jules Rainka and John Rainka. She was predeceased by her brother Ronald Rainka. She is survived by ten grandchildren: Nikki Abbott (Rich), Kim Brown (Don), Ashley Baldi (Robert), Katie Lumb, Jennifer Ramsey (Sean), Adam Cormier (Amanda), Melanie Fernbacher (Jake), Riley Como, Jonathan Como, and Aniela Como; and eleven great-grandchildren: Kaylee, Hannah and Nathan Abbott, Oliver, Hayden and Madison Baldi, Max Cormier, Rowan Lumb, and William, Emersyn and Callahan Ramsey.

  • One of the most beautiful parts of Tina’s life was the love she shared with her husband, John. They had the kind of relationship that many people can only hope for, built on love, friendship, and a deep appreciation for one another. Together, they enjoyed traveling the world, golfing, bowling, playing cards with friends, and, most of all, simply spending time together. Their love for one another was evident to everyone around them.

  • Tina was an incredibly hardworking, kind, and generous person who would drop everything for the people she loved. Her family was always her priority, and she had a way of making those around her feel cared for and supported. One of her favorite things was visiting the Zoo with her sons and grandkids as she had a great love and appreciation for animals. She had a true adventurous spirit Riding Rollercoasters with her grandkids and zip lining in many foreign locations. She was always ready for the next adventure. Whether traveling to Disney, exploring Europe, visiting the West Coast, or venturing somewhere new, Tina loved making memories on vacations with her family and friends. She was a thrill-seeker who embraced life and made the most of every opportunity to experience something new.

  • Some of Tina’s most treasured memories were made in the simple moments spent with family. She cherished Saturday morning shopping trips with her daughter and granddaughters, where they could spend time together, share laughs, and make lasting memories. She also loved the simple get-togethers at home, surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. These moments, filled with laughter, conversation, and the joy of having everyone together, were a true reflection of what mattered most to Tina: her family.

  • The love Tina and John shared was the foundation of a family filled with love and cherished memories. That same love extended to their children and grandchildren, with an especially deep and treasured love for her great-grandchildren, who brought her so much joy. Tina’s kindness, generosity, adventurous spirit, and unwavering devotion to her family will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.  She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.

  • In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in her memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, a cause that was especially close to her heart. Your thoughtful contribution would be a meaningful way to honor her memory and continue supporting something she cared deeply about.
