West Brookfield - Christopher R. Smith, 61, of West Brookfield passed away in South Carolina.
He leaves his wife of 39 years, Yvonne Smith of West Brookfield; his son, Jeremy Smith and his fiance' Michelle of Easthampton; his daughter, Sarah Smith of Quincy; two sisters, Linda DeMatte and her husband Roberto of Ware and Karen McNabb and her husband Robert of Tampa, FL. plus many nieces and nephews. He was born in Wichita Falls, TX, son of the late Norman A. and Rose D. (Fuller) Smith.
Christopher was a machine operator at Kanzaki Paper for 25 years before retiring 2017. He loved spending time working in his yard and had a green thumb for gardening. He enjoyed reading, spending time at the beach and was a huge Patriots fan.
Calling hours will be held Sunday, November 3, 2019 from 2 to 4PM in Varnum Funeral Home, 43 East Main Street, West Brookfield. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Christopher's name to Baystate Health Foundation/Cancer Research, 280 Chestnut Street, Springfield, MA, 01199 or baystatehealth.org/giving.
