West Springfield - Claire Ann (Deslaurier) Guimond, 81, of West Springfield died on Monday, February 7, 2022 at Baystate Medical Center after a brief illness.
She leaves her loving sons, John Guimond and his wife Darcy of South Hadley and David Guimond of Los Angeles, CA; her three grandchildren, Aaron Guimond, Drew Morse and Madison Bassette; her three great-grandchildren, Elliot, Paige and Kaycee; her sisters, Diana Medelle and Lois Morin; her brother Paul Deslauriers, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by the love of her life, Francis L. Guimond in 1990. She was born in Palmer, daughter of the late Napoleon and Anna (Kmiec) Deslaurier.
Claire worked in finance as a sales assistant before retiring.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Claire was a wonderful lady who took great care of her family and her home. Her family was her everything. She enjoyed cooking, reading and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, February 11, 2022 from 4 to 6PM in Charbonneau Funeral Home, 30 Pleasant Street in Ware. Masks are required inside funeral home. A Funeral Service for Claire will be held on Saturday, February 12, 2022 in Charbonneau Funeral Home. Burial will be in the spring. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 313 Washington Street Suite 310, Newton, MA, 02458 or Dana Farber Cancer Institute, P.O Box 849168, Boston, MA, 02284 or www.jimmyfund.org .
