David W. Mann, Sr.

Freemont, OH/Warren - David William Mann, Sr., 69, passed away on Sunday, July 10, 2022, at Elmwood Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing in Fremont, Ohio at the age of 69, from a long-term illness. David was predeceased by his parents, Francis and Aurora Mann of Warren, and his brother, Michael Herman Mann.
He leaves behind his brother, Francis Mann and his wife Ruth of Warren, his children, David W. Mann, Jr. and his wife Wendy of Rhode Island, Lisa Carter and her husband Colby of Chepachet, Rhode Island, Jerald Hunt and his wife Thea of Pembroke, Maine, Christal Cline and her husband Jason of Palmer, Julie Silveira and her husband Dennis of Smithfield, Rhode Island, and Jessica Gedert and her husband Michael of Clyde, Ohio. He will also be missed by his 15 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
David retired from the fishing industry as a salmon farmer. After retirement, he enjoyed spending quality time with his grandchildren. When he was not with his grandchildren you could find him at car shows, flea markets and spending time with his close friends, Ann and John.
His family will deeply miss him and his "Papaism's" such as "Elvis and I went to different schools together!" He loved his flannels, music, 57 Chevys and spray painting everything.
A Graveside Service for David will be held on Tuesday, August, 2, 2022 at 2pm in St. Paul Cemetery, Maple St., in Warren. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601 or alz.org.
Varnum Funeral Home, Inc., 43 East Main St., in West Brookfield is assisting his family with arrangements.
