Warren - David A. Shepard, 83, of Warren, died on Monday, November 16, 2020, at Baystate Wing Hospital.



He leaves his son, David W. Shepard and his wife Karen of Warren; his daughter, Pastor Deb Shepard and her husband Ron Fussell of Monson; five grandchildren, Benjamin Shepard and his wife Lindsay of Warren, Tyler Shepard of Warren, Lee Fussell of Springfield, Theron Fussell of Chicago, and KC Fussell of Brookline, and three great-grandchildren, Owen and Levi Shepard of Warren and Leif Alexander Fussell of Monson.



He was predeceased by his wife of 54 years, Ruth A. (Healey) Shepard in 2010, his two brothers, Herbert and Charles Shepard, Jr., and an infant sister, Eunice. He was born in Ware, MA son of the late Charles E. and Marcia E. (Davis) Shepard and was a life-long resident of Warren.



Along with his son David, he owned and operated Elm View Farm in Warren. His favorite place to be was out in the fields on his tractor. He was a former member of the Warren and New Braintree Grange, he was one of the oldest members of The Warren Thief Detecting Society and served on the Warren Finance Committee.



At his request, burial in Pine Grove Cemetery in Warren will be held privately, and there are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Warren Rural Improvement Association, c/o Linda Cunningham, P.O. Box 1315, Warren, MA 01083.



Varnum Funeral Home, Inc., 43 East Main St., in West Brookfield is assisting his family with arrangements.
