Shortly after high school, Mr. Terry enlisted in the United States Navy, and served on the U.S.S. Zellars, a Sumner-class destroyer.  After his honorable discharge, he worked as a construction laborer and supervisor for over 30 years, and was a long-time member of the Teamster's Local 170 in Worcester, and the Laborers International Union 243.  When he was younger, he was a member of both the Brookfield Fire Department and the Brookfield Police Departments.

David had a deep love for his entire family. He was also an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed going to Nantucket, rabbit hunting with his friends. He was a life-long member of the Brookfield Rod & Gun Club where he served as President for many years and participated in or oversaw most of the improvements and renovations to the club. He was a long-time member of the New England Beagle Club, and running his beagles in the woods was one of his most enjoyable hobbies.

David will be deeply missed by his family and friends. At his request, no services are planned at this time.
