MONSON — Deborah J. “Debbie” Lowell, 77, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 17, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

She leaves behind her sons, Robert Lowell and his wife, Patricia, of East Brookfield, and Michael Lowell and his wife, Kerri, of Winter Garden, Florida. Debbie was a proud and loving grandmother to Alexandra Veilleux and her husband, Travis, of Winslow, Maine; Joshua Lowell and his wife, Kalli, of Franklin; Dimitri Lowell and his wife, Briana, of Monson; Alyssa Lowell of Worcester; and Samuel Lowell of Framingham. She was also blessed with three great-grandchildren, Robert, Cody, and Hailey.

Debbie is survived by her siblings, Glenn Waugh of West Brookfield; Claudia Tytula and her husband, Robert, of West Brookfield; Elizabeth Lefevre of Vermont; Belinda Waugh of Colorado; Thomas Waugh and his wife, Debi, of North Brookfield; Jeffrey Waugh and his wife, Helen, of Arizona; Geno Waugh of North Brookfield; Winston Waugh of North Brookfield; and Jennifer Tetreault and her husband, Joey, of Spencer. She also leaves her sister-in-law, Twig Waugh of North Brookfield, along with dozens of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

Debbie was predeceased by her longtime companion, Eugene Hunt, and her brother, Walter “Wally” Waugh.

Born in Maine and raised in Wales, Massachusetts, Debbie was the daughter of the late Phillip and Jeannine (Fowler) Waugh. She worked as a bookkeeper for many years before retiring and embracing her most cherished role as a Grandmother.

Debbie was happiest when she was surrounded by family and always found something to enjoy, whether it was visiting her sister in Colorado, taking a trip to the casino to play the penny slots, or cheering on the Boston Red Sox. She rarely missed a Sox game and could name every player on the roster. She was a talented and creative crafter who enjoyed quilting, sewing, and knitting. An avid genealogist, she took great pride in researching her family history and creating family memory books that will be treasured for generations.

Her warmth, humor, creativity, and love for her family will be remembered always by those fortunate enough to have known her.

Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Thursday, September 24, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Varnum Funeral Home, 43 East Main Street, West Brookfield, MA 01585. Burial services will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Debbie’s memory may be made to The Jimmy Fund.

Debbie will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her family and friends.
