West Brookfield/Ware - Dolores M. (Bouley) Richard, 98, died on Monday, May 9, 2022 at Quaboag Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center.
She leaves her grandchildren, Cherylee D. Hagge (Brian Hagge) of Southport, NC, Jennifer E. Schimmel of Enfield, CT, Steven Richard (Amy Richard) of Brookfield, MA, Diane Cantwell of Brookfield, MA, Elaine Harnois and Bobbi Jo Shays. Doris also leaves behind her great grandchildren, Ryan Royer, Amanda Evans (Tyler Evans), Jackson Stanley, Anthony Richard, Santamaria Richard, Michaelangelo Richard, Samantha Richard, Stephanie Desourdy and Stacey Cantwell. She also leaves her sister, Gertrude O'Coin of Spencer. She was predeceased by her husband Louis Armand Richard as well as her son, Raymond Richard, her daughter, Louise Gendreau, and the following members of her immediate family: Francis (Gil) Messier, Alberta Messier, Yvonne Valley, Leo Bouley, Marie Bouley and Irene McCutchen. She was born in Cohoes, New York, daughter of the late Osias and Cordelia (Brodeur) Bouley and grew up in Somerville, MA. She was a long-time resident of Ware, MA.
She was a communicant of the former Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Ware, as well as the Ladies of St. Anne. Always keeping busy over the years, she was a member of the VFW Post 2577 in Ware, the DAV Auxiliary Quaboag Chapter 59, the Ware Golden Agers, as well as the Warren and Ware Senior Centers.
Dolores was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who loved to knit, crochet, and play cards. She credits her long life to her faith in God and her loving family, and she will be sadly missed.
A Funeral Mass for Dolores will be held on Thursday, May 19, 2022 at 11AM in All Saint's Church, 17 North St. in Ware. A calling hour will be held prior to the mass from 9:30 to 10:30AM in the Charbonneau Funeral Home, 30 Pleasant St. in Ware. Burial will be in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cemetery following the mass.
