Donna J. Ambach, 59
West Brookfield - Donna J. Ambach, 59, of Wickaboag Valley Rd., died Friday, July 24, 2015 in the Holden Rehabilitation & Skilled Care Center in Holden.
She leaves her mother, Ethel D. (Orell) Ambach of West Brookfield; three sisters, Sheree Jolicoeur and her husband Rene of Spencer, Nancy Hunt and her husband Damien of Varnville, SC and Karen Walsh of Falmouth and several aunts, uncles, cousins and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father, Walter C. Ambach in 2009. She was born in Ware and grew up in West Brookfield and lived in Georgia for 10 years before coming back to West Brookfield in 1999. She was a 1974 graduate of Quaboag Regional High School in Warren and the David Hale Fanning School of Health Occupations in Worcester in 1975 as a licensed practical nurse.
Miss Ambach worked at several area hospitals including Harrington Memorial Hospital, St. Vincent Hospital and St. Mary's Hospital in Athens, Georgia.
She was a member of the First Congregational Church in West Brookfield and enjoyed photography and working with computers.
A Funeral Services for Donna will be held privately. There are no calling hours. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery in West Brookfield. Donna's family would like to thank all the caregivers at the Holden Rehabilitation & Skilled Care Center for all the wonderful care they have given Donna for the last 16 years. They were truly her second family. They would also like to thank Rev. Lisa Durkee Abbott for all her prayers and the many times she came to see Donna to support her and her family. Varnum Funeral Home, Inc., 43 East Main St., West Brookfield is assisting her family with arrangements.
