Brookfield - Edgar J. "Ed" Donais, 54, of Brookfield died on Sunday, June 17, 2018 at his home with his loving wife and family by his side.
He leaves his devoted and caregiving wife of 32 years, Michelle (Proulx) Donais; four brothers, Dennis, David, Roger, and Gary Donais; five sisters, Linda Parzych, Nancy Davis, Sandra St.Pierre, Debra St. Laurent, and Helen Nadeau; his Godchildren, Helena and Paige Donais, and his special niece, Paige Proulx, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was born in Southbridge, son of the late Edgar J. and Helen (Breault) Donais.
Edgar was a wood craftsman where he made cabinets.
Ed liked nature and the outdoors - he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and long hikes. He found his greatest loves though, to be spending time with his wife Michelle, and with their large, extended family.
A Funeral Mass for Ed will be held on Friday, June 22, 2018 at 10:00AM in St. Mary's Church, Lincoln St., in Brookfield. There are no calling hours, and everyone is asked to meet directly at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Brookfield Emergency Squad, 4 Central St., Brookfield, MA 01506, the Cancer Center at Harrington Hospital, 55 Sayles St., Southbridge, MA 01550, or Central Mass Hospice, 191 Pakachoag St., Auburn, MA 01501.
