Edward J. Kress

Gilbertville----Edward  J.  Kress, 88, a long time Gilbertville resident passed away on June 30th in West Brookfield. He was born in Ware son of George and Sara (Brennan)  Kress and lived in Gilbertville most of his life before moving to West Brookfield. He was a graduate of Hardwick HS and of the Worcester School of Technical Industrial Management. He worked as an office manager for Bullard Abrasives of Westboro. Ed was a US Army Veteran of World War II, serving in the Pacific Theatre. He was a member of the Gilbertville Congregational Church, the Eden Lodge of Masons, The Melha Shrine Temple of Springfield, the Scottish Rite Body of the Springfield Valley, and Gilbertville VFW Post #9093. He leaves a nephew Thomas Kress of Chesterfield. All Services will be announced shortly.
