Edward J. Miarecki, 80, of Ware died peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on January 15, 2024. Edward was born September 29, 1943 to the late Julian and Adele (Fudyma) Miarecki.
He grew up in Gilbertville, MA and graduated from Hardwick High School. Edward bravely served his country in the Vietnam War before returning home to marry his wife of 55 years, Sandra J (Lanier) Miarecki. After more than 40 years, he retired from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and the Ware Big Y where he made many wonderful, lasting friendships.
Edward will be remembered as a loving husband, wonderful father and amazing Grampy. He is survived by his wife Sandra and their three sons, Brian Miarecki and his wife Amy of West Brookfield, Jon Miarecki of South Boston, and Timothy Miarecki and his wife Jessica of Upton; along with three grandchildren, Molly, Luke and Grace Miarecki, who he cherished. Edward will now join coffee and casino trips in spirit with his best buddies Henry and Richie.
Funeral Services for Edward will be held privately.
