Edward H. Zrate 91, a longtime resident of Ware, passed away on Friday November 28, 2014. He was born on Nov.5, 1923, the son of the late Blanch Sliwa and Joseph Zrate.
He was the co-owner of E-Z Television Co in Ware, was a Radio announcer for many years on WARE's Polish Polka Music Show. He was a U Army Veteran of World Ware II. He was a Communicant of St. Mary's Church a member of the American Legion and was a Disabled American Veteran. He graduated from Warren High School and from Mass Radio School in Boston.
He was predeceased by his wife Helen M. Zrate, his son Edward J. Zrate and daughter Nancy S. Webb. He is survived by his daughters husband Peter L. Webb of East Longmeadow and their loving grandchildren Dr. Jennifer Webb of Glastonbury, CT, Jessica Buckle and husband Andrew and great granddaughter Eleanor of Canton, CT, and Jonathan Webb of East Longmeadow.
Charbonneau Funeral Home is assisting the Family with arrangements.
There will only be a private burial at the convenience of the family, fulfilling Edward's wishes.
