Eileen (Laurinitis) Stukus, 66, of Grafton MA died on February 17, 2016. Eileen was born in Philadelphia, PA, the only daughter to Rosalie (Biatek) Laurinitis and Edward Laurinitis.
Eileen grew up in Ware, MA. After graduating from Ware High School, she went on to study at American International College and the University of Rhode Island, where she earned a Master's Degree in Library Sciences. Eileen could always be counted on to help others navigate the stacks of books at the Coventry Public Library where she enjoyed working as a librarian for 35 years.
Eileen passed peacefully at her home in Grafton, MA, where she had been devotedly cared for by her daughter before losing her battle with ALS. Eileen leaves behind her husband of 40 years, Kenneth Stukus of Coventry, R.I., son David Stukus of South Hadley, MA, daughter Alison (Stukus) Belanger and her son in law Mark Belanger of Grafton, MA, two grandchildren Rock and Amy, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Eileen was an active member in the Wantaknowhow Garden Club and Greene Library. She attended the Little Greene Church in RI. After moving to Grafton she attended the Congregational Church of Grafton. She was very artistic and a talented painter. She loved to travel and has been to France, England, Germany, Canada, and the Caribbean. Most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren.
The wake for Eileen will be held on Monday, February 22, 2016 at Charbonneau Funeral home in Ware Massachusetts at 10 to 11:30. Mass will follow at the Holy Cross Polish National Catholic Church in Ware at 12 noon.
