Obituary

Ware, MA — Elaine Kokoski passed away on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at the Elaine Center in Hadley.

Born in Hardwick, Elaine was the daughter of the late Williams Homans and Irene (Clark) Homans.

Elaine worked at the former Dorman Mills in Ware and later devoted herself to caring for others as a home health aide, providing compassionate care to those in need.

In 1970, Elaine moved to Ware after marrying Frank, where they built a life and raised their family. She found joy in flowers, country music, gardening, baking cakes, and animals. She especially cherished time spent on the family farm and enjoyed trips to the drive-in movies.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 55 years, Frank Kokoski, Jr., who died in October 2025. Elaine is survived by her sons, Frank Kokoski III and his wife Jennifer of Palmer, William Kokoski and his wife Angela of Monson, and Tim Kokoski of Palmer; and her daughter, Lisa Kokoski of Palmer. She also leaves her siblings, Linda, Maryann, Rosemarie, BJ, Steven, and John.

Elaine will be dearly missed by her grandchildren: Jeffrey, Katlyn, Bridgette, Jacob, Samual, Thomas, Spencer, and Benjamin, as well as many loving nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at Charbonneau Funeral Home, 30 Pleasant Street, Ware. A funeral service will take place the following morning, Thursday, May 14, 2026, at 10:30 AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Quabbin Park Cemetery.
