Eleanor B. Kuras

Eleanor Beaudin Kuras, 80, of Ware, MA died at home 12/2/14. She was predeceased by her husband Fran who passed in Oct. 2006 .
She leaves her son Dr. Mark F. Kuras and his wife Margaret (Keyes) Kuras of Salt Point, NY, her two beloved grandsons, Zachary A. and Hudson J. Kuras and her loving companion, Peter W. Krok.
She was born in Ware and lived there all of her life. A graduate of St. Mary's School, Ware High School and Northampton Commercial College, she was a member, reader and Eucharistic server at All Saints Church.
Eleanor was a legal secretary to Atty. John Storrs for 3 years and then a paralegal in the office of Atty. John H. Campbell for 48 years. Eleanor was clerk of and served 18 years on the board of Directors of Mary Lane Hospital, also serving on the board of Country Bank for Savings for 20 years.
She played piano for many musicals, directed All Saints church choir for 12 years, sang in Carols by Candlelight at United Church of Ware for more than 30 years, sang in Ware and many surrounding churches, was a 5 year member of Quinebaug Singers of Sturbridge and of Brimfield Area Master Singers. She was also a member of the Ware Golden Agers of the Ware Senior Center and Mary Lane Hospital Auxiliary.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated in All Saints Church, North St. on Saturday Dec. 20th at 10 am. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Calling Hours will be held on Friday Dec. 19th from 4 to 7 pm at the Charbonneau Funeral Home, 30 Pleasant St. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to All Saints Church 17 North St. Ware Ma. 01082 or to Baystate Mary Lane Hospital, 85 South St. Ware Ma. 01082, in Eleanor's memory.
